Clifford
C. Christ
Mr. Christ is currently President and Chief Executive Officer
of NavCom Defense Electronics, Inc., headquartered in El Monte,
California. NavCom manufactures avionics, communications, and
test equipment for the U.S. defense community. Along with its
El Monte facility, NavCom also has a facility in Warner Robins,
Georgia.
Mr. Christ joined Gould Inc. in 1986 as President and General
Manager of its NavCom Systems Division. In the fall of 1988, Gould
Inc. was acquired by Nippon Mining of Japan and Mr. Christ led
a management buyout of the NavCom Systems Division.
Prior to joining NavCom, Mr. Christ spend 17 years with the General
Electric Company in a variety of management and technical positions
in military and government related businesses.
From 1982 to 1986, he was Program General Manager of GE’s
Simulation and Control Systems Department, Daytona Beach, Florida.
From 1969 to 1982, he was employed with GE’s Aircraft Control
Systems Department in Binghamton, New York, in various management
and engineering positions involving flight control, weapon control
and electrical systems. He joined GE as an engineer in airborne
electronic assemblies and avionics controls.
Mr. Christ is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with
a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He and his wife, AnneMarie,
have one child.
